For a country of 140 crore people we hardly win Medals and then dont even have a system to at least properly respect and honour those who win them for us
Sanju DEVI - KABADDI RIDER, GOLD MEDALLIST ASIAD GAMES

[anand mahindra @anandmahindra]

Forgive me for still having an Asian Games hangover, but as I start this week, one story from the Games keeps coming back to me.

Sujeet Kalkal was 9-2 down with less than a minute & a half left.

Most of us have an inner voice that does the maths at a moment like this.

I certainly admit to having such a voice.

It assesses the odds and tells us when the rational thing is to accept defeat.

Sujeet clearly has another voice. One that says: Not yet.

He kept going. 9-2 became 10-9. And an Asian Games gold.

The lesson goes well beyond the wrestling mat.

When I look back, I realise that some of my key successes in business came when I listened to my other voice that fought the rational one and simply refused to throw in the towel.

There are times to listen to reason. And there are times to tell it to wait.

It ain’t over till it’s over.

Mumbai’s 900-year-old Banganga Tank is facing the same tragedy again.

Hundreds of fish have died in the historic tank at Walkeshwar following Pitru Paksha.

And sadly, this isn’t new.

In 2025, BMC removed 10,000 kg of dead fish and organic waste from Banganga. Similar mass fish deaths were reported in 2023 and even in 2022.

The tank dates back to 1127 AD and is one of Mumbai’s oldest surviving water bodies, fed by an underground freshwater spring.

Ritual offerings are suspected to be contributing to the deterioration of water quality and oxygen levels, but the exact cause of this year’s deaths is still being investigated.

BMC has now called priests and residents for a meeting.

Whenever you are commenting about our performance in Asian Games and Olympics, always remember, there is a major difference between the medals won by Chinese, Koreans and Japanese and Medals won by Indians

The Chinese, Koreans and Japanese win medals becsuse of the system

Indians win medals despite the system.

THE LAST TIME INDIA WILL SEE THEM? FIRST AND LAST PICTURE OF "TEAM" MATTHEW VANDYKE?
The Matthew VanDyke (American mercenary with Sons Of Liberty International) module (which included Ukrainian mercenaries) travelled illegally into India's North East. Whence in Mizoram the module crossed the border into Myanmar. The NIA says they proceeded to Camp Victoria a base for Shin insurgents that have ties to India based insurgent groups. The NIA claimed VanDyke and team trained the insurgents and provided them military grade drones. They crossed back into India and were apprehended before they decamped. Now, months later they get a court pass to exit India without consequence.
WHO GETS AWAY THIS EASILY? WHO IS THEIR POWERFUL BACKER? HAS INDIA CAPITULATED?
Questions. Few answers.

It is depressingly apparent that to find reasonable commentators on global affairs today, you need to look outside of Europe.

Below, former Singaporean Ambassador to the UN, Kishore Mahbubani, dispels the propagandistic narrative that @MishalHusain can't help but defend.
