So as an international SB19 fan, I was excited and curious about the song SB19 will cover (Mga Kababayan Ko - M Francis) for the Forgotten Memories animation. Im Pacific Islander so I feel the excitement Filipinos have for the film because I was the same with Moana. I listened and looked up the lyrics and its English translations and wow😭 Reading the lyrics really had me emotional. What a beautiful song and I just know SB19 felt so honoured to cover this song for an amazing film. Like look at these lyrics!

Can we talk about how insane this is for a second?

The upcoming DreamWorks movie soundtrack for The Forgotten Island features Lea Salonga, BINI, Sophia Laforteza, Ruby Ibarra, and SB19.

The movie centers on the friendship of two Filipina girls. Naturally, you'd expect most of the soundtrack to lean heavily toward female artists. And yet, SB19 was still handpicked to be part of it. That alone speaks volumes.

And can we please talk about the fact that the song they contributed is "Mga Kababayan"? Of all songs!

I'm honestly so curious how they'll incorporate it into the movie. Will it be during a big cultural moment? An opening montage? A scene introducing the Philippines? Because if there's one song that instantly screams Filipino pride and identity, it's that song.

The thought of a Francis M classic being carried by SB19 into a DreamWorks film that's showcasing Filipino stories, culture, and mythology to a global audience is giving me goosebumps.

I don't know, man. As an A'TIN, moments like these never get old.
