$42B so far for Snowy 2.0,that’s $40B over budget & already 3 years behind schedule with no end in sight. Max capacity is 2.2G/W with a max run time of power of 160 hrs then needs recharging. Estimated completion maybe 2034, 8 years time and that still won’t mean power generation.
This doesn’t include 100’s of $B’s borrowed to retire the nation, build battery storage that still cannot provide base load power.
STH Korea completed a 5.6 G/W nuclear system in 10 years, turn key operation for the UAE for $32B. This system has been running continuously for 5 years now, no downtime.
We could then provide cheap, clean, affordable power for households, businesses, manufacturing, all the things Australia used to do.
We could then refine our own fuel, make steel, aluminium, urea, fertilisers, cars, trucks, everything we need to be a self sufficient nation.
Politicians of both Labor & Coalition are complicit in the destruction of our once great country, & I truly believe they should be charged with treason & financial crimes against our country and its people
