Nurse to the healthcare system #QI, #virtualcare, yogi, wife, and mama of 3. Not necessarily in that order. Tweets are my own. @IHPMEQIPS and @macnursing alum
One of the coolest stories you will see this week:
Prescriptive housing from the University Health Network.
The Hospital network is building 51 modular housing units that can be prescribed to homeless individuals who are highly dependent on emergency rooms.

I’m down at the beach with family for the long weekend. The type of place where people “name” their beach houses by nailing signs to the exterior walls.
Most names are dumb like “sea winds” or “happy place” etc etc, but one name caught my eye.
The driveway was full of cars (at least 8), with a dozen or so grandkids playing in the yard.
And a ~70 yea old guy grilling by the carport, smiling as he flipped burgers and watched the kids play.
The name of the house? “Grandpa’s Vision”
This man won life. Nothing else matters. A lifetime of work to make his vision real.
Money is just numbers on a screen. Status is a distraction. Your career is just a means to an end.
None of it matters without family
"The role of government is to organize and fund collective solutions to problems individuals alone can’t solve, as Canada has done with Medicare and public education ".....like the universal quality #cdnchildcare system we're working for https://t.co/oIcZefhI9k
@NYTScience I had often wondered this about nurses in hospitals and wondered if you could quantify every screening tool/assessment/procedure steps and documentation, how many hours would a shift actually have to be? 😵💫😵💫 (or how many patients could one nurse reasonably look after)
@cettefeministe So sorry for your loss Ash. You’re right, it is such a big loss. I still miss my dad everyday and it’s been 8 years. Sending you strength ❤️.
On every road trip there is one person who says "let's pack a cooler with sandwiches and eat lunch in the car on the way" and one who says "let's not even have coffee at home because YOLO" and they end up married to each other.
@ConsumerSOS What? Wow, I need to look into this again. However I applied for my youngest child in Nov 2020 for his first card and his application will expire before any appointments become available. Sigh.
