Here in Austria, a great importance is placed on academic/professional titles. But this drop-down list of several DOZEN of distinct titles is something else. #austrianProblems#crappyDesign#lol

Here's an under-reported angle on #miltonhurricane from @GuardianUS's Aria R Walker. Suppose there's a dangerous storm coming and the authorities say to evacuate, but you just don't have enough money? https://t.co/LjXjp4MkGa
@monjalexander Have you seen this study? (I've been off the map for the past year.... hi!). Going to attend their webinar tomorrow and would be cool to have other demography/mortality people to mull this one over with :)
New: Life expectancy for every single neighbourhood in Toronto—all 158! Our most ambitious project yet at @TheLocal_TO reveals striking differences in life, and death, across the city. https://t.co/cI12qy80mz
As part of @TheLocal_TO's life expectancy analysis, I spent time in Moss Park, where life expectancy is by far the lowest in the city. I dug into the reasons behind the stats, and tried to capture how those lost years reverberate throughout the community. https://t.co/kgWmjdwdiY
@MAP_Health@TheLocal_TO@StephenHwang@taimhuynh@UnityHealthTO Looking forward to this! I’m a demography PhD candidate (ABD) working with CVSD + CCHS micro data to focus on mortality disadvantages in certain understudied pops and currently in town :)
@nickhunebrown Hi Nick, I’m a Vienna-based Toronto finishing up a small-scale mortality research project using StatCan CVSD data. I’m in town for roughly another month. Would be interesting to exchange notes with you and your project colleagues.
@ArianeOphir @ERC_Research Wow congratulations! I've been on a Twitter break, but remember how hard you were working—often on your own—to get your results and research out!!!
Hey @BradMBradford there’s a dead juvenile raccoon in the fenced yard next to my mom’s but 311 said it can’t be removed unless brought to the curb. I think this is bad policy that makes it hard to get rid of a dangerous carcass!!
I realise you cannot change the rules or personally remove this raccoon carcass. But this is a small but important municipal issue I would like to draw your attention to (on Glenfern).
