@JessGrose @LDamour I think these kids also get so much more education on mental health which is great but now use the words they are being told maybe not in the right way. My second grader was using a more negative connotative word when he really meant to say he was upset.

Tried to explain this to my 10 year old who was the point guard about learning to read the defense and situation in front of her but she was worried about being yelled at and taken out of the game if she didn’t listen to her coach and “run the play” 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️
