...and cooks themselves suffering from exhaustion. We hope that we can raise awareness of the issues faced by the people in the region and support them in a small way from the UK. We discussed ideas about how this might be possible.
They have been supporting various shelters in the Noto region, providing food support, from the delivery of perishable items and chef support. The situation in the Noto region is still quite bad with many people not able to eat a decent hot meal everyday, and the volunteers...
Today we held an online meeting to find out about some of the initiatives taking place in Noto that we might be able to support. Shimotaya san kindly gave us his time to tell us about activities that the Sustainable Food Association Japan (SRA Japan) have been conducting.
We had our first action meeting on Saturday 17 February at Japan House in London to discuss ideas about how we can support those affected by the Noto Peninsula earthquake. Thank you so much to everyone who was able to attend.
