I have the greatest wife in the world - departed yesterday leading a team of four ladies (one hearing, three #deaf) on a trip to minister to Deaf women believers in the western half of Africa, where their faith, gender, and deafness make them outcasts in their communities.
So @ACLUDelaware has decided to petition US Dept of Education, saying the state is discriminating against deaf kid by not teaching them listening and speaking skills. One would think the ACLU would read scholarly literature on the matter before taking such an asinine position.
James Harden wants to go back to the @HoustonRockets and gives his word - this time - he'll be on his bestest behavior and won't get all apathetic like last time. Pinkie promise and all that.
Me, walking into the gym: Ready to rock a 2 hour workout
20-something woman, 30 min. later: Um, you have a really long tear in your shorts and we can all see your bright red underpants
And here all this time, I thought @PlanetFitness was a judgment-free zone.

Touring the SC School for the Deaf and Blind today w O4. She’s been apprehensive about attending here this fall, but after a week of camp here she’s doing better. After seeing the massive kitchens, the art room, and wood shop I think I’d like to attend this fall as well #deaf
My phone is filled this morning with messages all asking the same thing: Hey I saw articles about #SBC23 - are they right? Did those things happen?
Yes.
@InHisgrip@DrHeatherEvans@toddbenkert I think you people are amazing and I wish the schedule had been friendlier to your event. Even so the people there seemed enthralled with what was shared.
A prediction: Trump will not get the GOP nomination. He'll run for president anyway unaffiliated with either party. Result: he's gonna be this generation's Ross Perot, pulling enough votes from a GOP candidate to hand the election to the Dem. candidate.
But I'm often wrong.
@ilovefroggie@kateshellnutt@SBCvoices The preceding daytime session was to end at 5:30, but in fact did not close until after 6:00. Most people wanted supper, and this session started at 7:00. It was just hard to fit it all in.
