Evening #ChickenHour 😊 had our new POL hens for 4 weeks now and they're *nearly* on speaking terms with the grumpy old #exbatts

Hay-making 2020 not going to plan. Turns out I'm not 20 any more, & single-handedly scything almost an acre of too-long grass between working full time & everything else is slightly too much 🙄 Getting there, but weather too rubbish to make hay so most being used as mulch

@CountryRealist Well, over a month later I can confirm that ours was definitely 'experimental' and not 'haystack'. One downpour & the lot was soaked, and is now being used as much, along with most of the rest of the cut grass 🙄

Hot, sweaty hay-making continues. Four bales (made in a wheelie bin) in the shed, and to ight I made an experimental haystack with what was left. No idea whether it'll stand up to forecast thunderstorms, but better than lying on the ground, right?!

Finally made it up Chrome Hill today. You can see it from our bathroom but somehow it's taken two and a half years of living here to get round to it. Picked a glorious day for it 💜
