@Charlygotyou Under the Fair Housing Act, they are allowed to ask what support/assistance your ESAs provide to you for your disabilities.
When you have 2, they each need to do a different thing - this can be one helps you maintain a schedule and the other helps regulate your mood, or whatever

@sarahoftherings my family always did 10 minutes and the math was too easy! it defeated the purpose! Now when I do it, I purposefully just hold the button/don't measure so all I know is it's somewhere between 7-20 minutes fast

@SlopHq they also pushed it through as fast as possible so residents didn't have facts to understand the impacts and it was too late to stop it by the time we got a reasonable mayor so our downtown is going to be torn up for another year for this nonsense that no one needed

@RayPunx00 @Charlygotyou 1) it is legal under the Fair Housing Act; 2) landlords have the right to ask for documentation showing the tenant is disabled and has a disability-related need for both ESAs; 3) HIPAA [not HIPPA] applies to medical records and providers, not landlords

@suedyourdad @Charlygotyou that's fair, I've just run into landlords who ask for things they legally can't ask for (medical records, specific diagnoses, etc.) so I wanted to point that one out specifically because everything else you said was true and helpful

TLDR: LL is allowed to ask, OP needs a more specific letter from their doctor that gives a reason they need each ESA

@ot7mikrokosm @KendraChenelle @Charlygotyou no???? all you have to say is that the patient has "a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity" and what limitations the ESA would help with (can include coping with stress/anxiety, maintaining a schedule, social interaction, etc.)
