You're not wrong to be tired enough to want a dictator. Twenty years of 'democracy' here has mostly meant twenty years of the same people rotating who gets to loot.

But a ruthless dictator doesn't fix that, he perfects it. The problem was never too little control. It's that whoever holds power turns it into a personal toll booth. Removing this set of elites means nothing if we don't also build the thing that stops the next set from becoming exactly like them.

So how will you stop this dictator from being the new elite? Because wanting a ruthless dictator for 20 years' isn't a plan, it's a wish that someone else will do the hard part for you.

Power in one man's hands doesn't get given up voluntarily. History has zero examples of that working. What actually works is a transitional structure, not a transitional man. A one party state, built specifically to dismantle the extraction machine and the elite class running it, with power vested in the structure and its mission, not in a single ruler.

A structure like that can move fast and decisively, the thing people actually want from a dictator, without becoming a personal fiefdom, because no individual owns it. And critically, it has to be built from the start with an expiration date and a handover plan, power transferred deliberately to the next generation once the extraction machine is actually dismantled, not left in place indefinitely because whoever's holding it decided they're still needed.

That's the difference between a revolution that ends in liberation and one that just ends in a new dictatorship. We've seen both versions play out across this continent. We know which one we're trying to build.
