Where to start? Obviously problems at the top and terrible planning and support. At the manager level, much too hesitant to make changes and style of play far too passive. At the players, step up with more energy.
A new manager doesn’t fix this. United needed a serious transfer window, but the writing was on the wall when they went cheap.
Second string are miles off being good enough as well. Like MILES off it!
Can’t just be me that blames this man more than anyone else.
Carrick might not be the guy but I’m still placing the majorly of the blame with this man.
@jabbathesutt@Gloriousregen1 I think it's probably a bit more than just curry favour but his mindset of control. If you have the ball you don't need to run as much. But we can't do either
Manchester United’s plan to do their defensive reinforcing in next summer’s transfer window always looked risky. Michael Carrick will get the heat for some of the abject defending by his team but this is down to the board with its transfer policy. #MUFC
Manchester United played better in the first 20 minutes vs 11 men than they have for nearly an hour vs 10. This has been uninspired, devoid of ideas & predictable.
The offside goal is obviously a disgrace but United still haven't done anything to win the game anyway.
Tbf £30M is below market price. Had a v.good season then one iffy season in an iffy team. £50M for a young English striker who has played and scored in the PL, to another PL club. It's not that outrageous and quite different to us. We need to be selling to PL clubs if we want £££
🚨Just one example of how BAD Manchester United are at selling players:
Liam Delap played 47 games for Chelsea and scored ONLY 3 GOALS… yet they still managed to sell him for £50m. They bought him for £30m and somehow made a profit.
Joshua Zirkzee has played 75 games for United, scoring 9 goals and providing 6 assists — and the best offers we seem to get are loans with buy options.
Until we improve how we sell our players we will always struggle to compete buying best players in the market because we never make profit from players we sell.
Two main issues, fix both and we're much better:
1. Too many unforced errors (poor touches, nonsense passes)
2. Getting bullied a little too easily which creates hasty football with little composure
The signs were there vs Milan.
What have they been doing during pre season? The whole purpose of not going to America or Asia was reduce the travel load on players setting us up to be fitter and sharper.
We looked well off it
So train cancelled. Then road closures everywhere due to road works. So a 30 minute drive becomes over an hour. Can we not just have a functioning transport system?
Perhaps before gov start to build hundreds of houses in my village, they could give residents a reliable train service? @transportgovuk it's like a 50/50 chance of being able to get home to Hanborough on weekdays. Getting home on weekends? Not if you're going to the theatre
Holy shit... Wired reports that back in May, the U.S. Military was testing an experimental GPS jammer and and caused a civilian plane to crash into the side of a mountain, killing everyone on board.
