They don't want people to figure out that if they just get off their arse they can fix their own community in 2 weeks. They want you to keep paying them taxes so they can fix your community for you. In 3 years. Maybe. Probably not.
The more I read arguments against remote work the less I find them credible. This starts with "remote work hurts mental health" then goes to say it's about those without friends/family with whom they interact. Work isn't meant to be adult daycare, just let people choose.
This is how you push through universally unpopular legislation. You start with attacks on groups most people don't care about (sex workers), under the guise of something many support (protecting kids). Then you keep increasing the heat until the frog sits in boiling water.
@neeratanden@ryangrim You disingenuous people always run to some year you lost, but you never stay in the year when you were in charge and didn't deliver.
Asking the voters to keep voting for you when you keep fucking up is stupid and moronic.
It's also gaslighting because you know why Hillary lost.
@neeratanden@ryangrim Your aversion to accountability is astounding.
The fact that you were basically at the table when Democrats made every feckless decision that gave Republicans the power they have now and will have for years to come and you STILL blame everyone but those that had the power
Honestly hard to reconcile how close to the seat of power this person has been for going on two decades of failures and that she sits on twitter for hours on end blaming news hosts and reporters for these failures. It’s sort of fascinating. (Also Grim’s history is accurate)
We’re obsessed with the idea that poor people might take more than they need, but we never question why the super rich are never satisfied with what they already have.
These soaring electricity bills are a tax hike, a monthly tithe levied by the Oligarchy on the American peasantry. They get ever richer, while we go broke for the pleasure of helping our oligarchs "beat China" https://t.co/h1nUQIQ1XJ
1 year of mass deportations
your rent hasn't gone down, groceries have gone up, gas has gone up.
Maybe it's time to admit immigrants aren't the problem.
Please stop comparing dying from poverty to Darwin’s “survival of the fittest.” Poverty is a social construct driven by wealth hoarding in the post industrial age, not by any natural shortage of resources.
Booker refused to even endorse the anti-gen*cide DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE in NYC because it wasn't his state, but he's physically traveling to Pennsylvania to campaign for a pro-Israel candidate in a PRIMARY.
believing you can win elections by dumping your own base and trying to win over the base of the other party is idea so stupid, only a neoliberal think thank could have concocted it.
@conorjrogers Specifically how did they court the left in 2024? Commiting to fund a genocide? Promising a lethal military? Saying Iran is our biggest threat? Courting Liz Cheney? Please refresh our memory.
@conorjrogers@trouble_man90 If the Democratic establishment wanted votes of the Left, they would not be bought and paid for by AIPAC, and other donors who fund Republicans such the AI industry, cryptocurrency, fossil fuel, corporations, billionaires.
The Left objectively did not the cause the loss of 2024
