“Her heart was a dark forest, her soul all the wild things which dwelt between the trees”
-Ludovica Elisabetta Enrietti, Night Curses and Other Lullabies
Love yourself behaviorally. Don't worry about whether you FEEL "love" for yourself or all your "parts" at this moment-- BEHAVE toward your physical body & your psychological parts w/ respect & care.
Treat love as a verb, at least for now. Just build the relationship.
Looked at by many. Seen by few.
🤍✨️
Being looked at is common.
People notice you the way they notice weather.
They see the outline, the clothes, the face, the way you take up space in a room.
They glance, they nod, they scroll, they move on.
You become part of the scenery. Present, but not held.
To be truly seen is rare.
It is when someone looks longer than they need to.
When they notice the pause before you speak, the tiredness you try to hide, the small shift in your voice when something actually matters.
It is when they do not just register that you are there .. they feel the weight of who you are.
Most people look because looking is easy.
It costs nothing.
It asks nothing of them.
Seeing asks for attention.
It asks for patience.
It asks someone to stay with the parts of you that are not polished, not convenient, not immediately impressive.
That kind of seeing does not happen often.
That is why it stays with you when it does.
A Letter for You
Somewhere, even now, life is reaching toward you in the gentlest of ways. A kettle hums on a stove and someone pours a cup of tea thinking of a person they love. Somewhere, a stranger holds a door just a moment longer so another soul can pass through. You may not see it, but the world is constantly conspiring to be kind.
You are not forgotten. You are not invisible. Even on the days that feel too quiet, someone is thinking of you with softness. Someone remembers your laugh and the way you once made them feel safe. Someone sees your name and their heart stirs with gratitude simply because you exist.
Right now, the universe is weaving small miracles into the fabric of your ordinary day. A dog is wagging its tail wildly when its person comes home. A friend is rereading an old message because it still makes them smile. Somewhere, love is being spoken not through words but through the steady presence of someone who stays.
If you ever wonder whether the world is good, let this be your proof. The goodness lives in you. It’s in the way you care, even when no one notices. It’s in the softness you offer to people who may never say thank you. It’s in your laughter, your tenderness, your courage to keep showing up.
The world is better because you are here. And though you may not always hear it, there are hearts beating a little lighter because they have known you. Somewhere, right now, you are the reason someone still believes in love.
Kr
I try to understand,
even when my heart is hurting.
I make excuses for your silence,
and find reasons for your distance.
I give you space,
I give you time,
I choose patience over questions,
and love over pride.
But please remember
I am human too.
I may understand your struggles,
but I have feelings too.
I can be patient,
but I can still feel the ache.
I can love you deeply,
and still have moments when I break.
I can understand your silence,
but please don't mistake my patience for the absence of pain.
Because behind all the understanding, there is a heart quietly whispering
"Please understand me too."
So plz don’t be distant
Don't treat my heart like it feels nothing.
After all this heart carries feelings for you quite, deep and true.
One of the most beautiful capacities of the human mind is its ability to hold more than one truth at once.
I can recognise the extraordinary possibilities of a technology
while remaining troubled by the cost of its creation.
I can see wisdom in an idea
without needing to agree with everything surrounding it.
I can profoundly disagree with someone I love
without allowing that disagreement to erase everything else they are.
Reality rarely fits neatly into the categories we create for it.
It is easy to see one part of something
and allow that part to define the whole.
But the part is not the whole.
Something can contain beauty and difficulty,
benefit and harm,
certainty and mystery,
all at once.
Perhaps maturity is partly the capacity
to remain with that complexity
without rushing to collapse it into a single judgment.
Wholeness does not require everything to agree.
We can hold conflicting perspectives
without becoming internally divided.
We can recognise what is true in each
without demanding that one truth cancel out another.
Our categories simplify.
Reality exceeds them.
Perhaps this is why paradox lies so close to the heart of life.
What appears contradictory from one perspective
may simply be two truths held within a larger whole.
Paradox is not always a failure of understanding.
Sometimes it appears when reality is larger
than the frame through which we are trying to understand it.
And to me, that makes life all the more miraculous.
The Sacred Union within of Shadow Walker and Light Worker:
There are souls who willingly descend into the places where fear lives, where grief hides, where shame buries itself beneath years of silence. They walk through the underworld of the human heart without allowing the underworld to become their home. They know darkness intimately without becoming devoted to it.
The angel within them never disappears. The shadow walker never abandons the descent. They move together.
The angel remembers compassion when judgment would be easier. The shadow walker remembers courage when retreat would feel safer. One keeps the heart open. The other keeps the feet moving. One carries mercy. The other carries truth. Neither can fulfill the calling alone.
The lightworker understands how to lift a soul toward hope. The shadow walker understands how to meet a soul in the place where hope was first forgotten. One reaches toward heaven. The other walks through hell. Together they become a bridge.
This is the sacred union that very few people ever speak about. The work is never to destroy one for the sake of the other. It is to allow each to mature until they recognize they have always been serving the same purpose.
The angel protects the heart from becoming hardened. The shadow walker protects the heart from becoming naive. The light reveals what is possible. The shadow reveals what must still be healed. Together they create a soul capable of walking between worlds without losing itself.
That soul no longer fears darkness because it knows who carries the light. It no longer fears the light because it has already survived the dark. It becomes a living reminder that love is strong enough to descend into every forgotten place and return home carrying another piece of the human soul.
