On Monday we had a great 'Meet Arla' session where the Arla team provided our NOVUS students with information about their placement opportunities. It was lovely to hear from previous students and how they have grown within the organisation. #arla#novusprogramme#logistics
Great to hear from Eis, Sunnah & Tienne graduates from @novustrust facilitated by @WindsorBethanyE Giving us a chance to learn what we need to do as a profession to attract more people to careers in #logistics#Warehousing#Transport#UKWANatConf2022
Tam, an @AstonUniversity grad at @cevalogistics, is a wonderful example of career progression that we're celebrating this week with @transportgovuk. Tam has progressed quickly-and has met HRH The Princess Royal, @ciltuk's Patron!

We're supporting the @transportgovuk's promotion of the logistics profession, from #HGV drivers and beyond!
This week, focusing on career progression, we're sharing our @ThinkLogistics1 video, highlighting the transferable skills our sector provides:

Thanks from Eis and from @WindsorBethanyE for hosting us today, @WomenInLogistic, for @LogisticsUKNews's Discovering Logistics Careers weekend! It was a pleasure! #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic 1. Be flexible in both the type of job and the geography of the job when you first enter the profession as once you are in and have experience so many unexpected opportunities appear.
2. Try a variety of roles to gain experience & find the one best suited to you
#DLC21
Being involved in schools, colleges and universities is invaluable in promoting the brand - when everyone is moving stuff, how do you get your vision and values out to young people? #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic 1. Get stuck in and have a go yourself. Some of the best experience and learnings I got was from picking/packing/transport planning myself!
2. Stay curious. The world of logistics is constantly evolving, so don’t forget to take inspiration from everything around you!
@WomenInLogistic Eis' two tips: the most important is to not be closed off - talk to people, meet as many people as possible and network, network, network! The second is to try your hardest - put in extra to work towards your future, be flexible and consider it a learning experience! #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic @WindsorBethanyE Nearly 50% of warehouse managers and directors are due to retire by 2027 (LMI for All data) - the shortage in our sector represents a great opportunity for young people to step in and step up at pace! #DLC21
We are discussing advice to students on logistics courses at the moment: remember to be flexible on your location, where possible, to take advantage of great opportunities! #DLC21
@novustrust@UniOfHull@YusenLogisticsE @WindsorBethanyE @ciltuk Ah, so some of the other activities that are going on today and over the weekend with the opportunity to visit real logistics operations are really important! #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic@UniOfHull@YusenLogisticsE @WindsorBethanyE @ciltuk .@WindsorBethanyE remembers @ClareBottle saying "logistics is much more interesting when it goes wrong" - absolutely true and the opportunity, as a young professional, to really get stuck in and effect change! #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic@UniOfHull@YusenLogisticsE @WindsorBethanyE @ciltuk Eis was already looking for a logistics course - his interest was sparked by visiting a local site and seeing how much goes on in one building! Action, challenge and a changing day was all very tempting! #DLC21
@WomenInLogistic @WindsorBethanyE Other than the opportunity for responsibility, which we've touched upon, the scheme covering different areas of logistics allows you to get a taste of all areas and helps you to understand logistics as a whole and see how all of the parts connect #DLC21
On a personal note, @WindsorBethanyE is having a brilliant time catching up with Eis, who is getting properly stuck in to his graduate scheme! Thanks to #DLC21 for giving us the opportunity!
