Why didn't @MathiasMpuuga counter the propaganda against his leadership?
As LOP, Mpuuga seemingly didn't swiftly respond to the media frenzy against his otherwise excellent leadership.
What do we learn from these events as keen observers of political events in Uganda?
I suggest that in spite of what most critics are saying, the successful change of NUP leadership in parliament makes @HEBobiwine a more cunning and formidable leader if he's truly in charge. Either that or Hon. Mpuuga was just overrated as a strong leader. I want to point curious minds to his concession speech and the body language of all actors during this important announcement.
I also think that these developments must encourage us to examine closely the entire Suubi Group which contains brilliant folks who ironically cannot retain seeming tangible power.
For instance @EriasLukwago_ is a lame duck Lord Mayor whose leadership has only gained Kampala pregnant potholes, @SemujjuNganda lost his clout in the real FDC, @MedardLSegona has mainly been in the background and so are other Suubi Group alumni.
But if these moves were carried out by BW himself then we must start evaluating his leadership differently. While he continues to emulate Mr. @KagutaMuseveni's leadership characteristics during his formative years as president of Uganda, this phenomenon is unfolding faster in BW's character than it manifested during the late 80s, 90s, 00s in M7.
However, if the idea was engineered by the NUP SG, then BW should closely watch his back or he will be replaced by the rightful NUP owner (the Prince). If BW is lucky to stay alive he will give a similar concession speech that Mpuuga did yesterday and his so called "foot soldiers" will be too embarrassed not to defend the move as The Prince is finally ushered in as Party President.
Peace & Love 💘
