So, rather than screaming into the void regarding my thoughts on Platform Engineering, I thought I'd just scream those thoughts into a blog post instead - Don't Call It A Platform: https://t.co/oEEKARTR4Y
Having great tests and release practices can never tell you that your software is 100% without issues.
But it can definitely tell you when it's busted.
Don't confuse the two.
#ShopifyUnite keeps getting better. Loved this talk by @np9386 from @auctane on breaking a monolith into microservices and using a cookie cutter. Having done this more than once, I can totally relate to it.

I see a lot of excitement about the CDK, so I decided to be a killjoy.

Posted: GitOps is a placebo https://t.co/KAcJYjIluu
Why #GitOps:
1. is just a rebadging of #ContinuousDelivery and #InfraAsCode ideas
2. has no new ideas of substance
3. contains 'best practices' that won't always work
3. offers no benefits that can't be achieved without GitOps
