This is a great first step & something the @LibDems have long called for!
@DoddsJane & I will continue to hold both governments accountable for cleaning up the Wye, including ensuring these plans are backed by real enforcement action to stop polluters.

I have been a member of this platform since 2011 and I have enjoyed the informed and lively debate on current issues. However, I can no longer participate in good conscience when the owner and his political associates seek to destroy our democracies. @n-p-beckett.bsky.social
Today’s Budget Agreement must be the first step towards a fairer and more prosperous Wales.
I'm proud to be delivering on key Welsh Liberal Democrat priorities: improving social care, childcare and tackling water pollution.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.
I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

Farming isn't like other industries, its a story of people deeply connected to the land they work and of knowledge passed down throughout generations.
Labour's #familyfarmtax risks taking that away from young farmers across Wales.
When we need a fragile truce in Gaza to hold, Trump’s dangerous ramblings about displacing 1.8 million people only make things worse.
At PMQs, I told Keir Starmer he must be clear: these proposals must be rejected, and we must continue to support a two-state solution.
5 years after #Brexit, its disastrous impacts are clearer than ever. We need to do far more to rebuild relations with the EU & begin a serious conversation about rejoining. That starts with facing down Farage & faragism

"Today marks five years since the United Kingdom left the European Union. Five years on, our economy is stagnant.
"A UK-EU customs union is the first step repairing our relationship with Europe and to the UK leading again."
@EdwardJDavey
"The botched deal that the Conservatives did when we left Europe has cost us 4% over 15 years of GDP growth. It’s the single biggest thing we could do to improve growth, and I think we should seize that opportunity."
– @HelenMorganMP on rejoining the Customs Union. #BBCQT
Negotiating a new UK-EU trade deal with a bespoke customs union is the single biggest lever ministers could pull to turbocharge our economy.
The refusal to even consider it shows a worrying lack of ambition and is holding back British businesses and stifling growth.
At PMQs I challenged the Prime Minister to drop his opposition to a new UK-EU customs union.
With Donald Trump threatening trade wars, we should rebuild ties with our European neighbours and tear down the trade barriers and red tape hurting British businesses.
