Two connecting tweets by @NPeppas share a nostalgic milestone regarding his high school education. He contributed to a celebration dinner for his 60th High School Reunion, the 10th All-Male Gymnasium and Lyceum of Athens, lGreece. He shared a classic 1966 photo at the Acropolis.
In a while there will start the celebration/dinner for the 60th Reunion of my 10th All-male Gymnasium and Lyceum (High School )in Athens, Greece. Here is a poster I made for the 50th Reunion in 2016.

Many of Ed Merrill's old books are now in my personal library in Austin, having been given to me by Ed's son and daughter, Frank and Anne Merrill. They include HS documents and the original of his ScD thesis.... My friends, there are no more educators like him!
My major professor Ed Merrill (1923-2020) a few days before he passed way in 2020, age of 97. Always active, inspiring. Many books behind him are from his Harvard (BA Classics, Chemistry '45) library. In 1971 he welcomed me at MIT, reciting Homer's Iliad in ancient Greek!
A wonderful site for HYDROGELS PROBLEMS has been posted by @NateRichbourg and @NPeppas https://t.co/xzi0eqOxNT It includes helpful sections on Models, Swelling, Stiffness, Diffusivity and Tools. IT MUST BE READ! @TexasChE@UTBiomedical@BMESociety@CRSScience@SFBiomaterials

@NPeppas Clark Colton and Bob Langer of @MITChemE. Clark Colton was a Cornell graduate who did his ScD with Ed Merrill (1964-1969). He served as the PhD advisor of Bob Langer (1970-74) & postdoctoral mentor of @NPeppas (1975-76). Peppas did his ScD with Ed Merrill (1971-1973).
A very special photo of Bob Langer with his former PhD advisor (and now ChE colleague) Clark Colton and his ChE colleague, collaborator and MIT Dean of Engineering Paula Hammond.

History of @CRSScience. As CRS was growing in the early 1980s, Jim Anderson and Sung Wan Kim started organizing the competing “Utah meeting” in the Marriott at Salt Lake City. The first one was in Park City, UT.
