At our last meeting today of the #NPOC19@AUWCL Host/Planning Committee we took our pic, & added "portraits" of subcommittee chairs & other key members unable to attend. I love these colleagues. #NPOC19 was extraordinary because they are extraordinary. They made the magic happen.
Colorado Law was proud to serve as a silver sponsor of #NPOC19, the largest gathering of legal scholars of color in history. Professor Suzette Malveaux & Associate Professor Craig Konnoth each participated in several sessions. https://t.co/KS3UkWZy34 @npoc19
Last week, @AUWCL welcomed professors, scholars, activists & students from across the globe to the 4th National People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference (@NPOC19). #NPOC19 speakers included @Sifill_LDF, @vanitaguptaCR, @DrIbram & hundreds more. https://t.co/K9PE4lN7Tv
As #NPOC19 becomes more of a memory and we settle back into our routines, I thought I would share one of the most beautiful but quiet elements to the conference, which I had the privilege to witness as host/planning chair. Some of you heard me share this at one of the...
@npoc19#npoc19 Every single wellorchestrated & timed detail from phenomenal star studded plenaries to the evocative & broad ranging panels to the beautiful soft to the touch healing grey memory moment journals and perfectly crafted black is beautiful bag and logo. @AmericanU
A visit to the @NMAAHC was the perfect way to end my #NPOC19 weekend—reminding myself why I became a professor and recommitting myself to the work. Thank you @npoc19 for organizing such a powerful conference, I look forward to the next one!
"Together, we planned a conference designed to feed the mind, heart and soul of a large community of scholars that, at this moment especially, yearn for community, connection and encouragement,” says @TonyVarona of @npoc19 @DiverseIssues #NPOC19 https://t.co/bBMPt9kdbC
Inspired and informed after the #NPOC19 Conference this past weekend. Thank you @TonyVarona and the rest of the #NPOC19 Team for letting us be a publication partner – we are looking forward to submissions!
Still buzzing from @npoc19 It was an honor and frankly a responsibility as a member of the NY Bar and a US voter to contribute to urgent debates on the future of US democracy in these dark days. Thank you @AUWCLDean & @TonyVarona for organising this inspiring four days. #NPOC19
An amazing way to wrap up the #NPOC19 weekend. A guided tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, customized for minority law scholars and led brilliantly by @NMAAHC docent/AfrAm history expert Janice Ferebee, aided by Guarina Lopez-Davis.
So pleased with our #NPOC19 closing lunch keynote conversation on #sportslaw, race and #racism with Nat’l Basketball Players Association Executive Director @MRobertsNBPA & sports agent Jeff Whitney, led by @njeremiduru. Then @ 2, over 100 #NPOC19 attendees will travel to @NMAAHC!
