Can deep learning solve protein structures? The latest #CASP14 results from @DeepMind 's Alphafold suggest the answer is YES.
Astounded and can't wait to see the full details of this amazing AI milestone.
Stoked to finish my engineering degree in style and take out the prize at @ResearchRMIT Virtual EnGenius🥳 Thankyou to everyone that gave feedback and advice for this project, especially my incredible supervisor @JessHolien
Super proud supervisor. Amazing job @npwilliams09 winner of the @ResearchRMIT Virtual EnGenius 2020 prize for electrical & computer & network engineering! Such a dedicated and hardworking student - 100% deserved!!!
1/9 Today we’re excited to release Transformer models pre-trained on evolutionary-scale protein sequence data along with a major update to our preprint from last year:

@bindureddy When we create true AGI I think we will look back at the initial prototype as rudimentary. If you extrapolate the increased few-shot performance against # of parameters, seems to be our closest potential path for AGI so far. What are your thoughts on this extrapolation?
