I love the idea that there can be infinitely many solutions to an equation and yet those solutions can still be sparse, and therefore difficult to find.
The problems are relatively easy to articulate, the solutions less so. Or even if the solutions are easy to articulate they're usually a lot harder to actually implement.
I'm not remotely dissing this talk. I've only watched five minutes of it! But I'm still stuck by the fact that's it's so easy, not to mention funny and fun, to point out (and recognise) the problems.
