As I conclude my tour of the Ankole Region, highlighting seven of the many building blocks that the NRM has established in Uganda, I urge our people to support us as we work to implement this ancient wisdom. In Rubirizi District, where I held my last rally today, is a clear testament to a lady who has spent 65 years beside the tarmac road but never owned a single animal or business until PDM reached her. The improvement of the road network, electricity, access to healthcare and educational facilities is undeniable, and plans are in progress to continue progress. Let us dismiss issues that seek to divert us from a proven and effective approach to development. I thank you, the people of Ankole, for always supporting the NRM.

Today, together with the NRM leadership, I began my first campaign rally in Buhweju. I reminded our people that peace is the foundation of all progress, and because of that peace, we are now strengthening the second brick of our work, which is development.
The Bwizibwera–Nyakambu–Nsiika–Nyakashaka–Nyakabirizi road will be handled by China Railway 18th Bureau Group, which is securing 30 billion shillings for compensation so construction can start immediately.
