I find it difficult to believe that Ben Myers thought that the jury would see this as positive for Lucy given the climate at the time but I do not remember the court presentation of this evidence at the time. How was that allowed other than it was Judge Goss's decision to help the prosecution ?

@JusticeGap I was beginning to think the CCRC was not going to do this as it has already been 3 years since their agreement to look for and test for DNA with a well known suspect.There are 2 very persuasive documentaries by BBC and ITV about this case.Worth a look.

Is this why @verabaird says the CCRC are incompetent?

Take a look at these two logs. Alone they are enough to refer Jeremy Bamber's case to the Court of Appeal.

The log on the left (timed at 3.26) is supposedly what Malcolm Bonnett is being told by PC West who took a call from Jeremy Bamber (the log on the right - supposedly wrongly timed as 3.36 because of an "error").

There are multiple reasons why that can't possibly be true but I'll just point out a few obvious ones.

West has wrote on his log
"your SISTER has gone CRAZY" and informs Bonnett who writes "DAUGHTER gone BESERK".

Does anyone at the CCRC not believe that alone is enough to prove what Bonnett is writing is obviously not coming from the log West is writing?

I suppose as they're incompetent, according to Vera Baird, I will need to point out a bit more before it sinks in.

West has wrote "has THE GUN" - singular - one gun
Bonnett writes "has got hold of one of MY GUNS" - plural - guns.

Apart from the gun multiplying as it passed from West to Bonnett, it also changed ownership.

Is the penny dropping yet @ccrcupdate or do you need me to explain the rest of the logs to you?

Refer the case to the Court of appeal and end this 40 year old travesty.

It's obvious Jeremy Bamber has been wrongly convicted. Do the right thing.

@ClarkeMicah When I read this ,first time from the transcript, I was slightly disappointed, if not surprised, that Ben Myers did not seem to realize that it would be in his client's interests to push Goss to include details of Lucy's grievence procedure and success in his summing up.

@anna_jones21 @amandaknox That's the very least anyone needs to know about the Lucy Letby case given the perverse way that flawed evidence was presented by the prosecution to the jury in this clear miscarriage of justice..and... Amanda Knox is an expert in the mistakes that can lead to such miscarriages.

@sergeantdixie @ClarkeMicah No. He understood that his own paper had been misunderstood or misinterpreted by Dr. Evans so felt he had to intervene in the interest of justice. He is a respected expert in neonatology unlike Dr Evans and he did know what was said at trial in respect of this issue .

@DannyShawNews Sympathy and praise to the victim yes but surely the real hero of this case is Malkinson, who could have reduced his time in prison by admitting to the crime but bravely refused to lie and fought for justice, resulting in the .reopening of the flawed police investigation/retrial
