Hey! It's Transit Driver Appreciation Day!
At the minimum, please remember to thank your @NiagaraTransit@atulocal846 driver today! Without them, transit in Niagara literally wouldn't be a thing.
It looks like @NiagaraTransit has launched their new service alerts page. Here's where you can find delays and cancellations if/as they happen.
...for better transit, and a better Niagara.

CKTB and the Tribune must be breathing down their necks...
At least they admitted they messed up, but passengers don't think it's enough.
Passengers want Niagara Transit to reassure them this will not happen again.

To our Welland riders: We're truly sorry for the service disruptions you experienced Saturday night. An unforeseen driver shortage meant we couldn't run all scheduled routes, and we know this caused frustration.
We understand that timely updates are crucial. You rely on our service and deserve to know what's happening. Currently, our online updates come from our team, who work weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This leaves a gap in communication outside those hours.
Here's the good news: Starting the week of March 10th, we're launching a new service alert tool. This will allow us to share real-time updates, day or night. For the fastest and most up-to-date information, please follow us on Instagram, Facebook and X. If you're not already following all our channels, we encourage you to do so!
We're committed to making your ride smoother, and we appreciate your patience as we make this happen.

Due to a collision at Lincoln and King Streets in Welland, @NiagaraTransit passengers should be mindful of delays and possible detours along 501 Broadway, 506 Ontario, and Port Link.
No further information is available at this time.
