I built something new; open-source, and, for me, quite exciting. https://t.co/6qZ0hm3e2l - a WYSIWYG react component for editing markdown. Give it a star at https://t.co/GnujmFvF6V.
🔥 You probably want to go look in & validate any package's/manifest data you've downloaded/cached...
This is a doozy: https://t.co/cicE0JGHNw

Boss: Why should I let you choose <programming language>?
Go: So the developers you hire when I rage-quit over lack of proper generics and result enums can instantly take over and maintain my code.
Haskell: So we can intimidate our intellectually weak competitors who dared choose a lesser language. Oh, and because monads are like burritos.
Scala: So we can get a PhD by creating a quantum singularity by fusing object-oriented programming with functional programming.
Javascript: So for every problem, we have our choice of 2^21 different packages that solve it (the vast majority of which are not security time bombs).
LISP: So we can invent infinite new languages to solve the 5 use cases that all existing languages already solve. Also, (so we (can balance (the parens (properly)))).
Rust: So after wrestling with the borrow checker for 5 weeks out of our 2 week deadline, our code executes so fast it literally finishes in the past, just in time for our deadline.
TypeScript: So that when our ultra advanced type system reaches AGI level, we won't even need to use the 2^21 Javascript solutions we all wrapped by hand.
