Congratulations! Now you are a miscast in a crumbling economy, as you struggle to make ends meet, swinging between a life of scarcity you are trying to escape and a life of abundance that is getting a feet further each time you get an inch closer to it. (End/)
We don't talk enough about the issue of belonging, that comes with getting the chance to study among the wealthy. Yes you were fortunate to get a scholarship, to go to a prestigious uni, to see life beyond Ur horizons, even to experience a tiny capsule of that lifestyle... (1/n)
I just completed my law degree from Jindal. The fees is exorbitant which only a few can afford. I was able to study there with the support of two scholarships and an education loan.
Living with the wealthy is a psychological assault of its own, especially when you're a student.
(Bale Zone, in general, has a really poor road infrastructure but I am just focusing on Robe for now) I am no urban expert but if you ask me, I'd def. spend budget on constructing a road that connects my zonal capital to the airport than making a Dubai city walk.
I am all for aesthetic cities and beautiful road sides. But I don't know what the justification behind prioritising them is. Bale Robe has one of the worst airports I've ever seen...
You can't even drag your suitcase, you have to hire a trolly to get it out of the compound. (Ik that is a @flyethiopian
issue, and that is an issue in it selfπ€£).
Then there's the way from the Airport to Robe town. Bumpy is an understatement, especially when it rains π
