4 years ago: I started building in public with the goal of shipping + improving by 1% daily.

2 years ago: I started @findatasets as a side project to fix stock market data.

5 months ago: I took a leap of faith, quit my job and went full-time on Financial Datasets.

Today: hedge funds and developers building agents use us as their market data layer.

Future is bright.

@bindureddy "vibe coding" is a good way to measure their ability use these tools but not good at avoiding traps which only comes from experience.

how u use llms matters more than the llms. Theres a reason demand for senior engineers keeps increasing.

But for most SWE jobs, "implement calendar math from scratch" is closer to trivia than the job. I'd rather see: given a spec + tests, can you ship a small feature, handle edge cases, and debug when something breaks?Basic skills matter. The question is whether this question measures them or just memorization.
