[Anti Corruption Unit - State House Uganda @AntiGraft_SH]

CONVICTED!
The Anti-Corruption Court has today convicted and sentenced Kigwana Simon, a former State Prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions on two counts of Corruption.

Kigwana was arrested in 2019 by @AntiGraft_SH working with @PoliceUg after he solicited for a gratification of UGX6M from court users (wananchi) in order for him to object bail in a criminal case at Nabweru Chief Magistrate's Court.

He has been sentenced to pay a fine of UGX7M and will not work for govt for the next 10 years.
