My favorite footage shown today was from the 2025 Netflix animated movie, In Your Dreams, which looked really funny and creative, as two kids travel into their own dreams. Craig Robinson voices Baloney Tony, a stuffed giraffe “stuffed with processed meats” per Robinson.

John Bailey, acclaimed cinematographer and former Academy President, has passed away at the age of 81. In a career that spanned from 1978 to 2022, Bailey worked across genres, from drama to rom-coms, documentaries to thrillers, including Robert Redford's Best Picture winner, Ordinary People (1980), Paul Schrader's neo-noir American Gigolo (1980), Lawrence Kasdan's comedy-drama The Big Chill (1983), Harold Ramis' romantic comedy Groundhog Day (1993), Wolfgang Petersen's action thriller In the Line of Fire (1993), and James L. Brooks' comedy-drama As Good as It Gets (1997).

The American Society of Cinematographers (@AmericanCine) recognized Bailey with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015. He also received the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019 at EnergaCAMERIMAGE Film Festival.
