This is the reality in many rural schools.

Here is Mitunguni Primary. Imagine what happens here when it rains.

Imagine how these students deal with fleas due to the dust? etc

They don't even have desks

Then some KK supporters argue: “These schools existed before Ruto, so don’t blame him.”

My friends, that thinking is dangerous. Kenyans elected Ruto to fix these problems, not to ignore them.

Building a permanent classroom here would cost under KSh 2M. Instead, taxpayers’ money is being wasted elsewhere on luxuries and bribes .

Next week, I’ll be exposing even more schools like this from different counties as part of my efforts to speak for these vulnerable students who don't have an account on X or Facebook to speak for themselves

Before I delve into today's tweets

Let me share something from the heart.

The work we do exposing issues across Kenya is tough, costly & often lonely. We get zero from govt or donors. Everything is funded by ordinary Kenyans who believe the truth deserves to be told.

Just this week, one trip to Turkana cost over 9k (fare, often excluding food & accommodation, plus the high cost of moving around in rural areas). We avoid flights to cut costs, but travel still drains resources quickly. As I speak now I already have teams out to some remote areas etc

And yet, it’s in these forgotten places where suffering is worst and voices need amplifying. Without these trips, some stories would simply never be told.
