Limpopo Premier Dr Phophi Ramathuba has warned women in leadership positions to be cautious about allowing their younger romantic partners, commonly referred to as "Ben 10s", to influence their personal lives and leadership decisions.

Speaking during the official handover of a newly built house to the family of conjoined twins in Lulekani on Wednesday, Ramathuba said the downfall of many women in leadership positions is often linked to the influence of their "Ben 10" partners.

She urged women leaders to remain focused on their responsibilities and not allow personal relationships to interfere with their decision-making or public duties.

Based on some of your responses to this post, and previous ones I MUST state - unequivocally.

I AM NOT LOOKING FOR WORK. ESPECIALLY SA GOVERNMENT. I know most hate me and I don't give a shit. I also have issues with reporting to a deployed person who is not an industry expert. So it's a mismatch. My critique is pure country duty and a sincere disdain for the racism and lies directed at South Africa on the "white genocide " and ICJ matter. I am merely opining as a citizen and a professional in the international relations and communications field. This is what I teach and do in DC. I don't need a government job..it also doesn't pay well. My observations about government communications, geopolitical risk and vulnerability, are just that.

I could never work in an environment where there is no institutional discipline. Everyone is an expert in everything and there is no restraint. The Minister of Justice should not be mouthing off about her suspicions on who is behind the protests in SA. It is not her place and her timing is off. She played the cards too soon before getting on solid ground. On a matter of grave geopolitical implications. Signaling to your position to your adversaries at such an early stage is a BAD, clumsy move.

DIRCO spokesperson should not be saying RSA is considering Nigeria's request for compensation for citizens and that the situation shows robust bilateral relations. Not before the government he represents has solidified its position because barely 24 hours later, the Minister in the Presidency contradicted that. Messy.

Similarly the same Minister should not be going on about Zuma's trip to India and Ajay when there actually ISN'T a warrant against Ajay Gupta. Only to have Mashatile contradict her the next day. Ethically I think Khumbudzo is 💯 correct. From a subtext point of view, she is correct. But Mashatile is right on the technicalities. Zuma has not been stripped of his privileges and the Ambassador IS obliged to receive him. Those are the facts. But between the two, the messaging is clumsy and chaotic. It needs tact and dexterity.

Everyone is doing as they please and saying what they want, when they want - I could never work in that environment and do not wish to. No institutional discipline. No reflections on broader implications of words and contradictions. No narrative arc across departments. So not my kinda gig. I am just expressing my professional opinion and observations. I don' want your jobs guys. Relax.
