From 17–21 August 2026, Rwanda will undertake a Business Mission to Brazil, bringing together businesses, investors, and public institutions to explore opportunities for increased trade, investment, and commercial partnerships between the two countries.

The mission will include Business-to-Business (B2B) and Government-to-Government (G2G) engagements across Brasília, São Paulo, and Santa Catarina, focusing on advanced agriculture, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, education, ICT, and innovation.

Last evening, RDB Deputy CEO @JulianaMuganza met with a delegation of investors of the Brazil–Rwanda Consortium, led by Elmar Varjão, to discuss investment opportunities across Rwanda's priority sectors.

Hoje e amanhã (5 e 6 de fevereiro), Ruanda realiza o Umushyikirano 2026, seu Conselho Nacional de Diálogo, um dos principais espaços de participação cidadã do país.

Criado pela Constituição, o Umushyikirano é um fórum nacional onde cidadãos, lideranças políticas, sociedade civil e a diáspora se reúnem para dialogar diretamente sobre temas centrais como desenvolvimento econômico, prestação de serviços públicos, governança e prioridades nacionais.
Ao longo de mais de 20 anos, esse diálogo tem gerado resultados concretos, transformando preocupações levantadas pela população em políticas públicas, programas sociais e reformas institucionais. Mais do que ouvir, o processo prevê acompanhamento e prestação de contas sobre as ações adotadas.
O Umushyikirano é um exemplo de como o diálogo estruturado entre governo e sociedade pode fortalecer a confiança institucional, melhorar políticas públicas e promover desenvolvimento inclusivo. Em Ruanda, o diálogo nacional é parte ativa da governança.

Today and tomorrow (5–6 February), Rwanda is holding Umushyikirano, its National Dialogue Council, one of the country’s key platforms for citizen participation.

Established by the Constitution, Umushyikirano is a national forum where citizens, political leaders, civil society, and the diaspora come together to engage in direct dialogue on central issues such as economic development, public service delivery, governance, and national priorities.
For more than 20 years, this dialogue has delivered tangible outcomes, transforming citizens’ concerns into public policies, social programs, and institutional reforms. Beyond listening, the process includes follow-up and accountability for the actions taken.
Umushyikirano is an example of how structured dialogue between government and society can strengthen institutional trust, improve public policies, and promote inclusive development. In Rwanda, national dialogue is an active part of governance.

Nesta manhã, durante o Fórum de Cooperação Econômica Ruanda–Brasil, em Kigali, o CEO do Rwanda Development Board (RDB), @afrika_jean , e Jorge Viana, Presidente da Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos (@ApexBrasil ), assinaram um Memorando de Entendimento (MoU) que estabelece um marco estruturado de cooperação em áreas como promoção do comércio, facilitação de investimentos, missões empresariais e iniciativas colaborativas em setores prioritários.
Além disso, a ApexBrasil assinou um Memorando de Entendimento com a Federação do Setor Privado de Ruanda (@PSF_RWA ), representada por seu Presidente, Stephen Ruzibiza, com o objetivo de fortalecer a cooperação entre as duas instituições.

During the Rwanda–Brazil Economic Cooperation Forum, held in Kigali, RDB CEO Jean-Guy K. Afrika and Jorge Viana, President of APEX-Brazil, signed a Memorandum of Understanding establishing a structured framework for cooperation in trade promotion, investment facilitation, business missions, and collaboration in priority sectors. In his remarks, Jean-Guy K. Afrika emphasized that the forum focuses on connecting businesses, identifying projects, and creating investment pathways that generate value for both countries.

In addition, APEX-Brazil signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Private Sector Federation of Rwanda, represented by its Chairman, Stephen Ruzibiza, aimed at further strengthening institutional cooperation and private sector collaboration between Rwanda and Brazil.
