Since sharing this photo yesterday, I’ve been subject to some pretty horrible comments about my appearance and weight.
I contemplated deleting it. But instead, I’ve decided to post it again to show I’m not ashamed of my body!! 😃

The University of Oslo (@UniOslo) Courtesy Visit to RENU!
Yesterday, we were delighted to host Ms. Marianne Knarud and Ms. Hilde Spjelkavik Kveseth from the University of Oslo during their visit to Uganda to explore implementation strategies for the Global University Academy Project.
The University Academy Project is a global collaboration of 16 universities, with our own @Makerere University being a key partner in the project. The project aims to establish an education program for refugees in various parts of the world.
While at RENU, the team had an engagement with some members of our Management team in which we got great insights on the project’s plans to pilot an education programme for refugees in which our member, @GuluVarsity was selected to participate in the pilot.
We're thrilled to explore how RENU can contribute to this noble cause.
Goodbye, Summit!
Attendees gathered on the final day of the 2024 OLCF User Meeting to sign a piece of @ORNL's Summit #supercomputer.
After almost 6 years providing over 200 million node hours to researchers around the world, Summit will be decommissioned in November.
RENU at @nordunet Conference 2024!
We are excited to be in Norway this week for the NORDUnet Conference 2024! 😊
Patience Nagaba (@nagabapatie), Head of Network Operations, Catherine Atuhaire (@athyrine), Head of Finance Operations, and Derrick Ssemanda (@DerekSsema), Head of Systems, are representing RENU at the conference, where they also delivered insightful presentations.
NORDUnet is a collaboration of National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) from the Nordic countries, providing cutting-edge network services and digital infrastructure for research and education. Their mission is to connect institutions across borders and promote innovation in digital infrastructure.
The NORDUnet Conference gathers experts and innovators from around the world to share knowledge and shape the future of research and education networks.
takk @nordunet for at du er vert for oss!
@stianhu There is this eerie tingeling sensation in the back of my neck that there is something inherently wrong with them an their applications. However, could also just be I'm developing a cold.
Norway Closes Deal on New National Supercomputer
The new $21 million @HPE_Cray supercomputer using NVIDIA #GH200#GPUs will be installed during mid-2025 in the Lefdal Mine Datacenter (LMD) at Nordfjordeid on the West Coast

#HPC#AI via @HPCwire
Congrats to my colleagues both at HPE and the Sigma2 folks. Cool technology, cool mission, and cool data center (in a cave!)
Also a good data point on how expensive GH200 is. US$20M used to get you into four-digit node counts. Not anymore!
@hpcprogrammer @hpcnotes@FelixCLC_@ShahinKhan All our GPUs are busy, but utilization varies a lot. And it is almost all AI/machine learning related. Almost no HPC workload.
