The University of Oslo (@UniOslo) Courtesy Visit to RENU!

Yesterday, we were delighted to host Ms. Marianne Knarud and Ms. Hilde Spjelkavik Kveseth from the University of Oslo during their visit to Uganda to explore implementation strategies for the Global University Academy Project.

The University Academy Project is a global collaboration of 16 universities, with our own @Makerere University being a key partner in the project. The project aims to establish an education program for refugees in various parts of the world.

While at RENU, the team had an engagement with some members of our Management team in which we got great insights on the project’s plans to pilot an education programme for refugees in which our member, @GuluVarsity was selected to participate in the pilot.

We're thrilled to explore how RENU can contribute to this noble cause.

Goodbye, Summit!

Attendees gathered on the final day of the 2024 OLCF User Meeting to sign a piece of @ORNL's Summit #supercomputer.

After almost 6 years providing over 200 million node hours to researchers around the world, Summit will be decommissioned in November.

NORDUnet is a collaboration of National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) from the Nordic countries, providing cutting-edge network services and digital infrastructure for research and education. Their mission is to connect institutions across borders and promote innovation in digital infrastructure.

The NORDUnet Conference gathers experts and innovators from around the world to share knowledge and shape the future of research and education networks.
