I visited the southernmost tip of India.

I stood at Indira Point. I walked under trees that have stood for centuries. I dove into coral reefs among the most vibrant on earth.

And I sat with the people who live there. Tribal communities, whose land is being taken away by violating the Forest Rights Act. Settlers, many of them former soldiers, placed on these islands by the Indian government, who aren’t getting fair compensation.

The Modi government and BJP tells you Great Nicobar Project is about defence. It is not.

Expand INS Baaz - we will back the government fully. The Navy has been asking for expansion for five years - it has been ignored.

They tell you it is about a transhipment port. It is not. India is already building one in Kerala, which is on the mainland.

What it actually is: 1.5 crore trees felled. Coral reefs erased from official maps. Soldiers and tribals displaced - so one businessman can build hotels and casinos on India’s most irreplaceable ecological land.

Every young Indian I have spoken to understands this. You know that no amount of profit is worth destroying what can never be recovered.

I stand for ecologically balanced development. These islands can be the most extraordinary sustainable destination the world has ever seen. That is the India worth fighting for.

अडानी और अनिल अग्रवाल दोनों ने सरकार को लूटा है लेकिन अडानी भारी पड़ा क्योंकि वह पीएम मोदी का दोस्त है। इसलिए आज वेदांता समूह के अनिल अग्रवाल के यहां ED की रेड पड़ी। जेपी एसोसिएट्स को वेदांता लेना चाहता था, लेकिन अडानी ने उसे ले लिया, जिसके खिलाफ वेदांता समूह ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट का दरवाजा खटखटाया। इसी तरह 2020-21 में GVK Group से मुंबई इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट लिमिटेड भी छीन लिया गया। सरकार यदि किसी एक पूंजीपति के लिए माफियागिरी करेगी, तो विदेशी निवेश तो दूर की बात है, घरेलू निवेश भी बाहर चला जाएगा, और ऐसा हो भी रहा है।

इनका नाम राजू नारायण स्वामी है।

1991 में उन्होंने UPSC में AIR 1 हासिल की। उस साल देश की सर्वोच्च रैंक।

उनके पास IIT Madras से कंप्यूटर साइंस की डिग्री थी। MIT ने उन्हें स्कॉलरशिप ऑफर की। उन्होंने उसे ठुकरा दिया।

उन्होंने कहा कि सबसे गरीब भारतीयों ने अपने टैक्स के जरिए उनकी IIT की पढ़ाई का खर्च उठाया है। वे उनके प्रति कुछ लौटाने के ऋणी हैं।

इसलिए उन्होंने IAS जॉइन किया।

उनकी पहली पोस्टिंग: एक रियल एस्टेट डेवलपर एक धान के खेत को भरना चाहता था। साठ गरीब परिवारों ने कहा कि वे बाढ़ में डूब जाएंगे। उन्होंने अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया। उनका तबादला कर दिया गया।

उन्होंने केरल के पब्लिक वर्क्स मिनिस्टर के बच्चों द्वारा किए गए अवैध जमीन सौदों का पर्दाफाश किया। मंत्री ने इस्तीफा दे दिया। उनका तबादला कर दिया गया।

उन्होंने Coconut Development Board में भ्रष्टाचार उजागर किया। अधिकारियों को निलंबित किया गया। उनका तबादला कर दिया गया।
उन्होंने सिविल सप्लाइज में भ्रष्टाचार के खिलाफ लड़ाई लड़ी। काम पूरा करने से पहले ही उन्हें हटा दिया गया।

उन्होंने एक बार औपचारिक रूप से यह पूछते हुए पत्र लिखा कि उन्हें उस काम के लिए वेतन क्यों दिया जा रहा है जो उन्हें कभी सौंपा ही नहीं गया।

2025 में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उनके चीफ सेक्रेटरी पद पर पदोन्नति के लिए दायर याचिका को खारिज कर दिया। AIR 1 होने के बावजूद। 30 साल की सेवा के बावजूद।

उन्होंने 34 किताबें भी लिखीं। साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार जीता। कानून में पीएचडी की डिग्री भी रखते हैं।

MIT ने उन्हें अमेरिका का अवसर दिया था। उन्होंने लोगों को चुना।

भारत की व्यवस्था ने उन्हें 34 साल तक एक ही संदेश दिया।

ईमानदारी आपको सब कुछ खोने पर मजबूर कर देगी।
उन्होंने हर बार इसकी कीमत चुकाई।
