This is huge. In a massive escalation of the tech cold war, the Pentagon finalized its annual Section 1260H update, formally designating Alibaba, Baidu, and BYD as "Chinese military companies" operating directly or indirectly within the United States.
The ideological clarity of our leader @RahulGandhi is the clearest today among all opposition parties.
Every true Congress supporter follows that ideological clarity and there will never be any compromise on ideology.
Good story.
Bankrupt Pak’s spy satellite network - (for their rocket force). While we are debating our kill chains.
Need to speed up our space eyes…like so many many other strategic things, this too needs an “all of nation approach”.
Discussing the Congress's electoral decline without discussing electoral bonds, the SIR, and the abuse of EC, ED and CBI, and breaking of electoral mandates and political parties alike, is like analysing a cricket match while refusing to acknowledge that one team got to appoint the umpire. It isn't objective, it's selectively incomplete.
Rahul Gandhi and the Congress can certainly be questioned and held accountable. But accountability that is demanded only of the opposition, while treating the institutional playing field as neutral and uncontested, is not just tone-deaf or unserious. It is manipulative. What is omitted from the analysis is doing as much work as what is included.
Congress's decline cannot be separated from the growing religious polarisation of voters, especially in North India. Many observers agree that no previous ruling party has pursued such divisive politics so openly for electoral gain, while concerns about the increasing influence of the establishment over democratic institutions have also grown over the past decade.
In these circumstances, Congress and Rahul Gandhi have helped keep democratic opposition alive and prevented a complete erosion of democratic checks and balances.
Countering polarisation cannot be the responsibility of Congress alone; it requires all democratic and secular forces to join the fight.
Scholars like Ramachandra Guha, instead of acknowledging these challenges and be part of the team to defend democraic values, shouldn't simply blame Rahul and help the society-dividers!
@ShashiTharoor@Ram_Guha@RahulGandhi@INCIndia
Mr Ramchandra Guha,
I consider you as Gandhian & man who wrote & defended the truthful events. I fail to understand how power is being stolen through buying MLA, breaking away parties Shivsena, NCP, Akali Dal, AAP & now TMC. The Election Commission was never so compromised & matter of pocket contents of one party.
You need to see & observe if you call yourself Gandhian & write extensively on Gandhian principles.
@ShashiTharoor@RahulGandhi@Ram_Guha
Nothing against CJP protest. Everyone has right to protest. But they are lucky to get kid treatment. This is Haryana. All over India, NSUI and IYC is protesting for same issues and getting lathi charged. You can support anyone but don’t say why is Opposition parties not on ground
Ladakh L-G Vinai Kumar Saxena told Sonam Wangchuk that Cockroach Janata Party was a conspiracy by “foreign forces” and most of its members are from Pakistan, Bangladesh, U.S”
Wangchuk says he is not aware about this but he was amused as similar allegations-China, Pakistan, Soros etc -were made against him eight months ago and he was put in jail under NSA.

'I’m a Big Fan of Modi': Trump’s Strongest India Commitment So Far | Major US-India Shift?
US President Donald Trump delivered one of his strongest pro-India remarks yet, saying “India can count on me 100%” while praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “great friend.”
The remarks come shortly after Marco Rubio’s outreach to New Delhi, fuelling debate over whether Washington is intensifying its India charm offensive and signalling a deeper strategic partnership with India.

The latest news keeps vindicating my points.
While the U.S. is losing ground to China in an expanding range of critical domains, it has built a much more lucrative business model.
It now turns to leverage allies' psychological inertia and geopolitical path-dependency to squeeze and extract them like "blood bags".
Keeping allies scared and dependent means cornering them into buying overpriced US weapons, US energy, and US technology. Unfortunately for countries like India, they have gone from being courted to being invoiced.
What turns out can be very absurd--the U.S. acts like a developing country that demands help from "a developed India". Instead of helping Make in India exports, America is extorting India to buy from it and to invest in it.

Chocolate brand Paul & Mike filed a complaint with FSSAI against The Whole Truth over its no added sugar claims on products sweetened with dates.
The Whole Truth argued that date-sweetened products are globally accepted under the “no added sugar” category. They also claimed that date powder has a lower glycemic index of 43 compared to sugar’s GI of 65.
Later, TWT agreed to change the labeling to “sweetened with dates” instead.
This is a good step. Marketing claims should be truthful, unambiguous, and non-misleading. “No added sugar” can easily make consumers assume a product is sugar-free or significantly healthier, even when it still contains high amounts of natural sugars. We need to standardise Zero Sugar claims to be “Total Sugar = 0gm”
Consumer transparency should always come first.
Protocol Turned Upside Down: Marco Rubio, after arriving in New Delhi, bypassed the standard diplomatic protocol.
Normally, a visiting foreign minister first holds substantive, working-level bilateral talks with the host foreign minister, where the actual negotiations and heavy lifting occur. Only afterward does the visiting minister “call on” the head of government — a largely ceremonial meeting meant to convey leadership messages, provide photo-ops and formally endorse what was already discussed with the counterpart.
Yet Rubio went straight to Prime Minister Modi for detailed discussions that reportedly stretched for over an hour, with the Indian foreign minister and national security adviser also present. The courtesy call effectively became the principal forum for deliberations.
We should declare that only BJP party members are citizens with full rights, everyone else is a potential 'threat to sovereignty/word of your choice' and start from there. It would be less tedious than slandering every dissenting voice and every suffering citizen as a terrorist.
Today, the main difference between Pakistan and India is Pakistan receives rent for its geopolitical role while India pays rent for its geopolitical role.
In different ways, both India and Pakistan are trying to safeguard US geopolitical interests in an emerging multipolar world that is eroding US power and influence elsewhere. In the US balance sheet, however, Washington can financially sustain its South Asia policy easily with billions of dollars left in surplus.
Twenty years ago, Foreign Affairs magazine published an article, “The rise of U.S. nuclear primacy”, claiming that the US had achieved such a technological lead over Russia that it could destroy its nuclear arsenal in a preemptive first strike, and, thereby cement a unipolar world order. Just imagine the hubris of those days.
And, now in 2026, Russia is atleast a generation ahead of the U.S. with more sophisticated and lethal strategic delivery systems.
This particular exercise is a warning to NATO which has been hiding behind its nuclear shield to wage a proxy war through Ukraine. The time for this dangerous game is running out. This is the main signal.
Erdogan is not immortal, so the damage being done to the Turkish state and economy to keep him in power now risk severely weakening Turkey after he is gone.
Comparisons with Russia's trajectory towards an unstable post-Putin era look more plausible than a few years ago
