@plinkett_@ZacksJerryRig I work with these types of systems every day and they definitely do not go 10 years without something breaking. More like a few months.
@plinkett_@ZacksJerryRig Okay, so now your cluster will slowly degrade over time, and that's not even talking about critical components that will bring a whole cluster down.
@simoncabron@ZacksJerryRig That's not a feasible solution with millions of dollars worth of hardware that needs frequent maintenance. Nobody will pay for a data center with the assumption anything that breaks is permanent.
@powerlock9502@AbiShuuwi It matters not if you believe they're real or not, the point is Mormonism is very suspicious in the fact that the only artifact that can attest to even the possibility of the entire story (e.g. some special ancient language lost to time) was "ordered to be hidden" by an Angel.
@austin_rief The wording is important - SpaceX doesn't have the GPUs now and stipulates that if they can't provide the full amount (unlikely) Google will be paying appropriately less.
@_imdawon They care it's perceived as performing well so people buy into it, but they don't really care after the IPO because they're just pocketing the underwrite spread.
@gnelson19561@Cryptoboyy_Aji Being able to freely buyback stock to boost share prices short term disincentivizes reinvesting profits into growing the business (like hiring more people, and I don't think I need to explain why that's good for working families)
