One of the best things you can do for yourself in adulthood, is to learn how to leave things alone.
Just leave it alone. Situations, people, whatever it is, leave it alone.
During the recent call for memos in connection with the Family Values Bill, @MertonEverett LLP submitted a memo cataloguing how sexual abuse of minors is an acute pandemic.
We proposed automatic reporting obligations on health workers and every citizen to report the sexual violation and defilement of a child.
We also identified extra marital infidelity as a big cause of family breakdowns and asked for aggravated punishment for extra marriage affairs resulting in pregnancy outside marriage.
We asked that if Parliament is truly concerned about Family values; then we should expand the focus of the Bill from just same sex activity to things putting the integrity of Ghanaian families under strain.
The Ghanaian Family is under threat from pedeophilic behaviours that target young girls in schools resulting in nearly 400,000 annual cases of what we call “teenage pregnancy” instead of “pregnancy resulting from defilement”
Extra marital affairs are also threatening the family unit.
None of these were considered.
Sadly!
the scariest part of that report was actually the ambulance service. no knowledge of BLS, no first aid, no continuos monitoring of vital signs, no infusion set up ? for an accident victim ! they showed up with only 2 signs! 1 BP and 1 SPO2!! herh!
