My train to midtown stopped for a long time before entering the Park Place station on September 11th.

When I exited at midtown and saw everyone looking up and south, I asked what happened and was told that planes hit the WTC.

I walked back home to Brooklyn along with thousands of other shocked New Yorkers. It was only many weeks later that I heard rumors of people jumping. It was years before I ever saw those videos.

Someone was trying to control the public outrage by hiding those videos.
