Nick Savva — A Sad Loss
Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Nick Savva last night. A true giant of our sport and a man who did it entirely his way.
Four-time English Greyhound Derby winner, four-time Trainers’ Champion, and quite simply the finest breeder Britain has ever produced. The Westmead prefix became synonymous with excellence — and Nick wore that quietly, with dignity and without fuss.
So many great dogs, but for me Westmead Hawk stands apart. Back-to-back Derbys in 2005 and 2006, that trademark finish from the clouds — there will never be another like him, just as there will never be another like the man who bred and trained him.
Nick always said he could tell more about a dog just by talking to it than most people could learn in a week of watching. That was his gift. That was his way.

@itvmeridian wait lists for driving tests in Reading has been 6 months or more for over a year… I had to wait 6 month for my test last September…. Does sound like things have got worse but the situation per se is not new….
