#HealthForAll is still a distant goal for billions of people around the world.
And yet, millions continue to use traditional medicine (TM) for accessible and affordable health care—170 of WHO’s 194 Member States report the use of TM in some form.
Strengthening the evidence-base and advancement of traditional medicine can play a critical role in achieving #UniversalHealthCoverage.

This year, Universal Health Coverage Day shines a spotlight on the devastating human impact of unaffordable health costs.
4.6 billion people lack access to essential health services, and 2.1 billion face financial hardship by paying for care out of their own pockets.
Around the world, @WHO is working with countries to close these gaps as part of their journey towards universal health coverage.
Because health should not be a luxury for those who can afford it, but a right for all.
Today is Universal Health Coverage Day.
Universal Health Coverage is a simple promise: quality care without fear of the cost.
Africa is committed. Now we must accelerate reforms that protect every person, everywhere.
