The BEST 2nd graders engaged in a “math aloud” to determine what good mathematicians do when problem solving. Ss then helped to create a process chart and applied it independently to their own task. #385Pride@tamsyn78@drwilliamsonBES@MaryAnnNussear@elemmathgurl
197 teachers! 😯 👏 All excited and ready to learn about our new IM resource and WCPS UbD plans! Teachers put in work this summer! So proud! @nussemar@elemmathgurl@wcpsmd
Thank you for the inspiration @mundebri ! @ktcollier engaged Ss in fishing today to measure, compare, and find the difference between two measurements! 🥰💖🐠🐟 @norriamy@nussemar
Ss using what they know about measurement to estimate! Thanks @usekamiapp for being so user friendly and saving our work to refer back to! And @LearnZillion for being a great resource for our Ss! @norriamy
Back at it again! ❤️ the BEST 4th grade Ss are utilizing talk moves to critique one another’s response from yesterday. Ss annotated on one another’s work in order to revise their thinking and provide feedback! #385Pride@4KristenEnglish@elemmathgurl@bethdomenico12
Love the idea of a perseverance jar for math class! I’m thinking @ how to use badges in google classroom during distance learning to do this. @elemmathgurl@bkobett@PangbornES
Love the idea of using a good piece of literature to determine “What Do Mathematicans Do?” to build a mathematics classroom! @elemmathgurl@nussemar#wcpsmd
What I love about @wcpsmd? We are currently in our collaborative planning session for next school year and day one is all about building relationships with our students, even in a distance setting. Not just standards or instruction.
