I had so much fun spending time at Monroe Community College for my dietetic internship! Here are photos from a few of my favorite events. Sad to leave but excited for the next chapter!
Thank you @steveGOgreen !! That could have led to some really awkward, solo twitter chats without all of my new #Foodiechats friends!! https://t.co/hIoHyUizC3
Q1 #Foodiechats Tonight is our 360th straight Monday Twitter Chat! Almost 7-Years of #Foodiechats “Where the Foodie Community Chats Together.” How long have you been chatting with us? #FoodieFriends

Alzheimer's disease is one of the greatest public health threats of the 21st Century. Charles Mobbs, PhD, professor of neuroscience, geriatrics & endocrinology at @MountSinaiNYC, on studies examining the effects of diet on the risk of the disease. https://t.co/E1iOFRLbWf
With so many diets out there, how are we supposed to know which ones work?! The truth is, most "fad diets" emphasize significant calorie restrictions and are very difficult to maintain. Long-term results come from a healthy, balanced diet & incorporating daily physical activity.
We have been asked for our input in the decision-making process for developing the dietary guidelines for 2020-2025!! This gives us the chance to be a part of developing information that will impact the field of nutrition and the dietetics field.

@genomickitchen I have found that diets that involve a balance of nutrients and do not involve significant calorie restrictions can be maintainable and effective long-term. Do you believe these types of diets would also negatively impact the individual’s relationship with food? https://t.co/PC2RdfQR28
Given how few people are able to follow ANY diet long term and the high rate of weight regain from diets (#1 predictor of weight gain = dieting), the question I would think about is "how will this impact your relationship with food?" https://t.co/tyeoRDM8Cf

I. Love. Nutritional. Yeast. It is a complete protein (contains all nine essential amino acids), high in B vitamins, and is loaded with antioxidants. I just sprinkle a little on my food and it actually tastes better! Check it out👩🏻🍳🤓

I recently went on a road trip and we packed vegetables, fruits, cheese & crackers, and everything we needed to make sandwiches. We had healthy snacking options, didn’t need to make any emergency fast-food stops, AND saved money! #mealprep#itworks https://t.co/HdJTEIF37i
Doing touristy things today like site seeing or museum hopping? Instead of dining out, pack your lunch. It’s #PackYourLunchDay! Remember to pack at least 2 cold sources for safety! https://t.co/dJBYjHCp9a
