More than 100 families are in dire need of humanitarian aid as most of their houses have been submerged under water in Demoso township of Kayah state following the floodwater's reach to Loikaw two days ago. The flood victims are now facing severe challenges, including the lack of food and shelter in the area.
When the waters reached Loikaw, many families were forced to flee to higher ground, leaving behind their belongings. Unfortunately, they were unable to carry everything with them due to the urgency of the situation. As a result, they are now left without any belongings, making it even harder for them to survive in the aftermath of the flood.
The urgent need for assistance is evident in Demoso township, where more than 100 families are left without basic necessities such as food and shelter. The lack of access to these essentials poses a significant threat to their survival and well-being.
Humanitarian aid is crucial for the flood victims in Demoso township. They need immediate support in the form of food, water, shelter, and basic necessities. The provision of temporary shelters and basic necessities like clothing, bedding, and hygiene kits can help alleviate the immediate suffering of the victims.
