Dinesh Pai from Zerodha Rainmatter dropped by Founder Startup House.
No slides. No fluff. Just real talk.
How capital actually thinks, how funds make decisions and the kind of patience most founders underestimate.
These are the moments that make the journey worth it 🤝
Impact Week is back at #Founder#Startup Bangalore House

50+ founders. Sunday evening. Pure value 🚀

You don’t need an MBA from IIT or Harvard to become a venture capitalist.
The best way to learn how to invest in startups is to start investing. Angel investing is the fastest way to begin. You don’t need large amounts of capital. Small investments into startups of friends or people in your network can be a great way to learn.
Today, anyone can get into venture capital. Deal flow is everywhere. More people are building startups than ever before, and early stage opportunities are more accessible.
The key is to start. Talk to founders who are raising capital. Understand the problems they are solving. See what excites you. Learn by doing.
@dsh_india recently partnered with Break into VC to run a 5 day VC residency program in Bangalore. The program gave the participants hands on experience learning how to think like an investor by learning directly from those who are actively investing.
If you are curious about getting into venture capital, join us for the next cohort.
Bangalore, if you are thinking of building a startup but don’t know where to start, this is for you.
Community Collective at @dsh_india is back by popular demand. It is a 3 day weekend experience for people who want to build, not just think about it.
You will live together for 3 days and build your idea or come up with one alongside your cohort.
This is not theory or classroom learning. Expect hands on sessions, real conversations, practical frameworks and strong peer connections.
You will learn from other founders, work on real ideas and connect with a curated group of future builders.
Live together. Learn together. Build together.
May 8-10 in Bangalore.

Bangalore, what are some of the most audacious startups you’ve come across recently in the city?
I’m talking about true moonshots. Ideas that feel unreasonable and are hard to understand, but if they succeed, could create entirely new categories, industries or markets.
Forget B2B SaaS, D2C, quick commerce, e-commerce, payments, ride hailing, or anything else that is already well understood or just incremental improvements.
I'm asking about new industries and frontiers that are 10–20 years out. Things like new energy sources, new ways of computing, new models of governance or nations, new forms of transportation, breakthroughs in defence, new types of drugs or drug delivery methods, or even ventures beyond Earth’s orbit.
What have you seen? Would love to host them at @dsh_india and see how we can help them.

Bangalore is one of the best cities to run hackathons. Last year at @dsh_india, I ran two, engineers flew in from across India and lived together for the weekend.
They built: Digital identity + governance, Healthcare + education systems, Digital currencies, AI for culture

More hackathons coming this year.
