My 1st author paper was published in Stroke!
We evaluated the efficacy of Rho kinase inhibitor, Fasudil on animal stroke models in Multi-center preclinical trial network (SPAN). Fasudil improved outcomes.
Thank you so much for all SPAN members!㊗️🎉

Our paper was published! @JAHA_AHA
We tested anti-inflammatory proteins efficacy in both transient and permanent stroke mouse models, mimicking previously published study designs and protocols to seek reproducibility.
However, there was no efficacy.

#STROKE Simultaneous publication at #ISC25 🔴CADASIL mice showed impaired brain connectivity and motor function, highlighting challenges in treatment. Tocotrienol, a neuroprotective vitamin E derivative, failed to prevent disease progression on these metrics. 🐁

We investigated the effects of both non-selective (fasudil) and isoform-selective (NRL-1049) Rho kinase inhibitors in 🐀 intracranial hemorrhage model.
Unfortunately, neither treatment showed significant efficacy.

Happy to see the results of our Stroke Preclinical Assessment Network (SPAN)1 in @ScienceTM
We (6 sites) performed 2615 rodent stroke surgeries, recorded/analyzed 1000s of behavior videos over the period of 3yrs
