While driving down 98, I was in awe at how well Mexico Beach had recovered. It has rebounded into a beautiful beach town with plenty of people walking along the beach and throughout the area in general. It is amazing to see the level of resilience and recovery here.
On October 10th, 2018, Hurricane Michael made a direct hit on Mexico Beach, Florida at category 5 strength, becoming the first category 5 to hit the continental U.S. since 1992.
Today, I had the honor of visiting this small beach town.
