What a fantastic fieldwork visit we had today! First, we planned our route and then went on a walk exploring the land use around the River Tyne on the Quayside. @GrasmereAcademy @MissSutton4

Today we finished our Egyptian Death Masks! We have had the best time making them and the children have done a brilliant job. We have absolutely loved exploring the Ancient Egyptians this term! @GrasmereAcademy
We absolutely loved our Zoom today with @emmac2603 We are currently reading Secrets of a Sun King and loving it! My class have already asked if we can read the new one straight after! We were all so inspired to hear Emma talk about her love for books and reading! @AuthorsAloudUK

Today was our project launch and it was magical!We spent the day cracking hieroglyphic codes,making Egyptian bread, mummifying fruit and being wrapped up like a mummy before settling down to read our new class book โSecrets of a Sun Kingโ by the brilliant @emmac2603 What a day!๐

A very successful literacy hook lesson this morning! The children loved following the footprints left by an astronaut that led to a brilliant new book,โWhere Once We Stoodโ. It was lovely seeing so many excited faces! I canโt wait to get stuck into our new genre!@GrasmereAcademy
Year 4/5 have been learning about the different colour of poppies and what they represent. They created these lovely circle books to summarise their findings and to go alongside our poppies. #RemembranceDay@GrasmereAcademy@NTynesideTRG
