Settling into a new house.
Tonight our dogs, TinTin and Bear, just started going barmy for no apparent reason.
Then we saw the apparent reason. #Neighbours
Utter Work Nonsense. Nottingham Forest sack Sean Dyche. Nominated for Manager of the Month for January. Last 6 PL games: 2 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss. Wolves draw was undeniably poor. No goals from 35 attempts. But Forest’s best finisher is 34 and been injured since October. When you are on your fourth manager of the season, the problem might not simply be them, it might also be you - recruitment, culture and the right leadership from owner and sporting director. Marinakis has done a lot for Forest, but he's embarrassing them now. Edu also an issue. Forest fans deserve better than this poor leadership. #NFFC
Rio. How dare you start a question "How much are you looking forward..?" given this bloated ego soaked wank fest FIFA has now been on nearly NINETY MINUTES - a whole game! -and still no nearer the draw?
Trickies, you'll be fine. Good depth, incomings and the club will have to be seen to respond now.
But the reality is that even on the back of a great season, only Real Madrid aren't prey in the football world. Every other club has to look over their shoulder when 4 or 5 players do well.
Elanga I get, good top end money.
MGW, the clause was low so there will be interval conversations about that. Don't give a fig what anyone else says, a clause for your top player that can be met by 10+ clubs is too low. Full stop.
They now need to tie up key players on long deals ( that haven't already), with appropriate clauses. Play hardball if necessary.
But this is all a consequence of success, not failure, others want Forest assets so appropriate work needs to make those assets work for Forest when they go.
As for players leaving, welcome to the last 150 years of football. All our heroes leave eventually, so get what you can for them!
As both cyclist and driver, I don’t think we should pit ourselves against each other. Maybe try to share, rather than compete, for the space… and a little patience and tolerance would go a long way - especially to the @Ocado guy delivering people’s turkeys.
Happy Christmas. x
Remember when Sports Personality Of The Year would do a fun item in the studio?
From this week in 1996, here’s Frankie Dettori, Tim Henman, Donovan Bailey, Denise Lewis & Frank Bruno in a penalty shootout contest against Peter Shilton - with Jimmy Hill as the ref.
Great days.
The Club have issued the following statement following the announcement that our Emirates FA Cup Third Round tie against Everton will be played on Thursday 9th January.
