@realcarrier411 What about volunteer revocation ? I shut my down back in 23 when it just didn’t make sense to move loads anymore price wise. Opened a new one this year and getting rejected cause I had one in the past even with explanation it’s still hard to move loads
@John__Ferguson@freightcaviar This true I’m a broker. Carriers your days are over back to slave wages of 22-26 as we brokers we deserve the most because we have to buy expensive laptops and headset that’s nothing compared to you paying 40k for a D13 rebuild
@FreightAlley With 50 trucks I wouldn’t be doing a lot of business with brokerages at that point…maybe for some back hauls or something but 50 on the fleet is enough to satisfy most shippers direct
@realcarrier411 To clarify, theft or taking a load hostage should never be ok for a carrier. But the razors at target sit in a glass case now for a good reason. That extra data set would help shippers vet their broker relationships and signal a high risk status.
@DudeManBro1987@realcarrier411 As it should ! Insurance premiums for carriers have been going up ruthlessly for years. The cost of doing business as a broker should go up parrell with carriers.
@realcarrier411 Slow pay has plagued the industry lately. I have 3 brokers with outstanding invoices from January February only thing stopping me from filling on their bond is the good relationship we have. But still ridiculous
@realcarrier411 Works both ways,as the saying goes, "How do you make 1 million in trucking? Start with 2." The money it takes just to get the truck rolling today is crazy. Industry is hell in a handbasket. If you skim off the top like yourself and others, that seems to be the only profitable way
@realcarrier411 This is one of those case by case basis type of things. Carriers also have to be careful with brokers who have operating authority. Also need to be very careful for brokers who claim to be "asset based" but have 0 trailers or any equipment listed either FMSCA.
@realcarrier411 Wanna hear your thoughts on your competition over at Verified Carrier and their connection to the chameleon carrier network over at Skyline logistics our of Vancouver WA . I find it ironic that the double broker kings of the NW wanna tap the carrier vetting space lol
@realcarrier411@AFreight71 Oh I got another one for you. Skyline transport out of Vancouver WA. Double broker central. Ironically, they are trying to build a company called Verified Carrier which is what @realcarrier411 already does.
@realcarrier411@BK30746920 We used to do the same thing for over 15 years without problem. We have 3-4 brokers we use beside our direct, when we worked with a new one they want my driver's number, tracking picture of the truck etc all for a 77 mile pick and drop....never again. I'd rather go empty.
@StephenRuhe@GV70@FreightAlley Ive avoided factoring for almost 12 years but lately brokers just don't have the cash flow to keep to their 30 dtp contract. I run my invoices through apex for 2% and let them chase them down for payments. Keeps the wheels turning
